Workshops at my Home Studio
in Charing, Kent

Although my workshop subjects can be run successfully as a single day, most are best suited to two days but may be extended to cover a longer period - up to five days. Day courses can be tailored to suit. Students (maximum of two) learn how to construct books from scratch using very basic materials. They produce decorative, unique covers and pages with stitched embellishment. Binding and fastening methods are covered along with guidelines for filling books. Students generally bring items they would like to put in their books or to use as inspiration. These may include: photographs, dried flowers, leaves, tickets, postcards or any other printed memorabilia.

Accommodation can be found locally if needed.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Classes run from 10am to 4pm. I usually ask students to arrive about 9.30 on the first day so that we can discuss the day before we start.

My studio is small but contains everything needed for the workshop. Students don't need to bring anything, but it is best to come with some ideas for what they want their book to be about - a small size book is best.

FEES FOR WORKSHOPS AT MY STUDIO

My charges for home workshops are: £130.00 per person, per day.
