FRANCES PICKERING MASTERCLASSES AT HAWKWOOD
I have decided the Late Summer Masterclass this year (2017) will be my last at Hawkwood. These masterclasses have now been running at Hawkwood College for well over 25 years and with the help of my husband Jim, I have run three a year for over 16 years. During this period of time, they have gained in popularity and have developed a regular and loyal following with places being at a premium.
Following the spirit of excellence set for Hawkwood masterclasses by previous tutors, mine have been designed to be as creative and as challenging as possible to help experienced students develop their own personal ideas and skills. It is with sadness that I am not continuing, but all good things have to end sometime.
Hawkwood, is an early 19th century country house built on an ancient site at the head of a small Cotswold valley. It is within an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and has forty-two acres of gardens, woods and fields – there are also panoramic views down the Severn vale and the whole area provides a beautiful and peaceful setting for an adult education centre and retreat. Hawkwood run their own wide range of short courses, from music, science, arts and crafts to personal development. They also offer a friendly, residential facility for people (like us) who run their own courses, seminars and conferences.
